SchoolAdvisor - Progressive Learning Programme

This is a superbly worked out project-based computer programme in which learners progressively grow throughout the year as well as from year to year. Lateral thinking skills and creativity are stimulated in the lessons as well as time management and critical thinking skills. Any operating system can be used, from Windows to OpenOffice and anything in between. I am a proud Knowledge Network teacher and have seen brilliant results over the last 14 years that I have taught it. Many of my students come back to thank me, and I, in turn thank Knowledge Network. By keeping my personal training up to date and continuous upskilling, Knowledge Network is truly a company that invests in education and the technological future of our kids! Best of all is that the learners who receive certification for achieving 70% and higher are all ready for the workplace. These certificates have helped many to secure jobs and have been great supportive documentation for entering into tertiary studies. I highly recommend Knowledge Network!

As a teacher who has used the Knowledge Network package to teach remedial primary school learners for 4 years, I would be hard-pressed to recommend any such similar program. Ever since I have been using Knowledge Network, my children have been exposed to vital skills that they will require in the workplace. From teaching the very young ones to the older ones. Each one is learning vital skills that they will require in this ever-changing world of technology we live in. Knowledge Network is certainly teaching for the here and now and keeps on researching to know what is vital for children to learn. Knowledge Network utilises a different resource for teaching and learning. It assists in developing cognitive skills as well as fine motor abilities as we do not make use of a touch screen system but a mouse and keypad.

I have been mentoring Knowledge Network's Progressive Learning Programme and In-School Diploma Programme (Grade 3 - 12) for the last 6 years. I have borne witness to how the learners have benefited from the Progressive Learning Programme. They have grown holistically, not only improving their computer knowledge, but also their creativity, logical thinking, application of knowledge, self-esteem and confidence. The learners who are now completing the In-School Diploma Programme will be ready to face the adult world. They have been given all the coping skills to either study further or join the work place. Thank you Knowledge Network for the excellent programme and the support given by the Knowledge Network staff throughout the year. You have made teaching so much fun and have lifted a lot of the time constraints that come with teaching.

Our school has used Knowledge Network for our introduction to computer literacy for more than 15 years and we have had the most excellent service. The product itself is constantly updated and educators are well trained by the company and have three upskilling sessions per year. It allows for creative and broad thinking by the learners, constantly challenging them to improve and to express themselves. The knowledge they gain stands them in good stead for University and their careers. An excellent program with supportive staff.

Having taught IT for a few years, I understand the frustration of finding an appropriate and relevant IT curriculum. KN is just that - a brilliantly laid out learning program for IT. We teach IT from Grade R to Grade 7 and the planning is easy, well structured and easy to follow. The customer service is excellent as well, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Their trainer is fantastic and knows each staff member well. I highly recommend KN for any and all IT requirements in schools.

Knowledge Network has been phenomenal. As as a school we often use it as an advert for what we offer when interviewing potential parents. Parents find it a very interesting and valuable service to be offered. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and capable. This should be a service offered by all schools as a standard.

The Knowledge Network program provides teachers will all the necessary resources to teach learners the basics of computer use and coding. It is a platform where children explore Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Knowledge Network activities. These activities integrate language, art, and maths with the use of technology. Knowledge Network is the only computer program we use at our school and the improvement in the computer skills of our children is a true reflection of the caliber of this program.
