I use the X-kit achieve for all my Life Sciences groups. I use the revision book to help with consolidation after a module and as extra notes for learners as well as the questions at the end of each topic to assess understanding. I have also used some questions in tests. I use the Grade 12 question book to help them prepare for exams. The book is of a good standard and easy to use, aspecially for learners who struggle with the content of Life Sciences. Some other books have the tendency to be overwhelming for learners to learn from. Books are of a good quality and drawings are clear and well illustrated. I have also recently bought the Gr9 Math textbook and looking forward to expanding my range to assist with accounting.

Hierdie X-kit is ingerig om alle leerders in die EAT en HT Afrikaanse klasse te ondersteun met taal-, mondeling-, en skryfaktiwiteite. Die X-kit verduidelik grammatikale reëls asook formate van verskeie take wat formeel geassesseer kan word. Onderwysers kan die hulpbron gebruik om die leerders voor te berei vir formele take, asook vir oefeninge. Daar word goeie onderwerpe as voorbeelde in die boek gegee. Die terminologie vir taal- en geskrewe aktiwiteite word op 'n eenvoudige manier verduidelik sodat die onderwyser dit maklik aan die leerders kan oordra indien die leerders nie die finansiële kapasiteit het om die boek self aan te skaf nie. Voorbeelde van mondelinge en geskrewe take word in die boek aangedui, wat dit makliker vir die leerders maak om die struktuur en korrekte styl vir verskeie opdragte uit te voer. Voorgeskrewe letterkunde word in die fynste besonderhede gedek. Deur gebruik te maak van die X-kit kan 'n onderwyser(es) omvattend alle letterkundige terme aan die leerders verduidelik en deurgee. Deur die X-kit as voorbereiding saam met die primêre leesstof te gebruik, kan 'n onderwyser informele aktiwiteite ter voorbereiding van die eksamen aan die leerders voorhou. Leerders begryp die belangrikste aspekte, soos ruimte, intrige, karakters en temas deur na die voorbeelde uit die primêre bron wat in die X-kit uiteengesit word te gebruik. Letterkunde in die HT en EAT Afrikaanse klaskamer vir die FET-fase word op 'n maklike wyse aan die leerders oorgedra deur hoe die X-kit uiteengesit is. Dit is verbruikersvriendelik en visuele prikkels help die leerders om die geskrewe weergawe te visualiseer. Saving time (X-kit Achieve)

The X-kits help me as educator so much, my learners achieve much higher marks and it saves me so much time, as we use it as an extra resource with extra activities, in doing so my Life Sciences learners can write a common paper with confidence giving me much needed sense of calmness. Easily understood (X-Kit Achieve)

I love using them as resources in my class, it adds diversity and clarity to commonly misunderstood mathematics concepts. I purchased the foundation sets for my son and he enjoys working and revising with them as they are interactive and self explanatory, it leaves little room for me to explain thus creating a little independent learner. I highly recommend it to teachers, schools and parents. Thank you for innovative learning strategies.

Literature
X-kit Achieve, Pearson
I think it is an excellent choice, especially the literature guides. I have been using it for years as a teacher. I especially like the questions set as it encourages critical thinking. I also like that each Act or chapter has a title which helps learners to see what it is all about. I always recommend it to learners, especially the matriculants, as I find it very helpful in preparation for the final matric exams. The literature essay that many students struggle with is broken down for the learners and therefore makes it easier for them to understand. I have four learners who received distinctions in matric English this year and it is partly thanks to this study guide.
