With data sharing practically non-existent between schools, it becomes extremely difficult for Administrators to understand what is the “normal or average” cost of Electricity and Water in individual schools. With Utility Services providing scant consumption data; with no common policy provided by the Department of Education; with little or no strategic investment being provided for infrastructural maintenance; and with no guidelines made available on how to properly maintain our schools by any of the Authorities involves in the Education Sector, the onus inevitably falls on each school to pay the high Electricity and Water costs. Given this backdrop of apathy, Suntricity has developed FIRSTLOOK™, an Online Database Platform, which addresses these issues head on. For the first time, schools are able to verify consumption patterns and costs captured by two separate datasets, namely: Municipal Invoices & Real-Time Monitoring: MUNICIPAL INVOICES - Cost effectively track your schools cost of electricity and water over a 4-years period database for schools, providing essential data and statistics of Electricity and Water consumption and costs, delivering relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) through detailed analysis of the monthly Municipal invoices. REAL-TIME MONITORING - Electricity & Water consumption data is captured every 15-minutes, through the installation of Electricity and Water “check meters” and monitoring equipment. Data is then sent (via the Internet) to FirstLookTM in REAL-TIME.
